Hey y’all! 2019 is coming to an end! (hallelujah) The beginning of each year our society wants CHANGE. We set goals, we set new intentions, we change our diets, we incorporate health & wellness into a daily routine.... Bottom line, we all want to feel HAPPY 🌿 So I’m going to challenge you a bit..... this VIBE of healthy change typically lasts a good 2 months, I think it’s because we try to take on too much all at once. So what if we break our new life changing goals up into Quarter Goals ???? 🌿
So before we start tackling and manifesting all these goals & intentions we have for the new year. Lets get an idea of what a G O A L really is and the difference is between Goals vs Intentions. Goals, while moving us toward what we say WE WANT, can take us out of the moment and create a feeling that what we have isn’t enough. A background feeling of unease can come over us if our goal-oriented life discounts our present moment. In short, while goals can move us forward, we can also feel victimized by constant goal setting.
Living your intentions, on the other hand, is much different than having a goal-oriented focus. Being intentional allows you to focus on how you want to be in the moment. Allowing intentions to guide your moment to moment focus, means you are living your values and what matters most to you.
Goals are focused on the future. Intentions are in the present moment.
Goals are a destination or specific achievement. Intentions are lived each day, independent of reaching the goal or destination.
Goals are external achievements. Intentions are your inner-relationships with yourself and others.
Lets jump into there Quarterly Goals and break them down. Each Quarter goal builds on top of each other. If you want to have a kick ass year and manifest what you want and BE your BEST SELF, you have to take in bite sizes. Starting with your physical body.
QTR 1 :: Jan, Feb, March | Nutrition & Exercise ( Movement)
Change your eating habits. Start simple if this overwhelms you. Start adding in more fruits & veggies, drink a green juice, drink more water. Maybe join an accountability group for your Nutrition Changes & support. I have a 30 Days Detox Mind Body Soul group program that starts Jan. 8th.
MOVE YOUR BODY! Go try a new class, take YOGA, go for a walk, join a gym and sign up for beginner classes. Find a work out buddy to keep you accountable. Exercise 3x a week! Honestly, the best thing you can do when it comes to fitness is a "burning ship" goal. INVEST your money into a 3 month membership to Yoga or the gym. You'll feel more opted to go if you spent the money on it.
QTR 2: April, May, June | S E L F C A R E
As we start to build upon our Q1 goals, its important to tackle the emotional and mental goals. Our body's are powerful, yes....but so are our MINDS. And if we arent in a positive and clear state of mind, its going to be very difficult to stay motivated through out your goal setting year. Self care, my friends!!!
You deserve THIS! Book a massage once a month, GO on a YOGA RETREAT ( cough cough:: Join me May10-16th in Costa Rica for a Self care, self healing, women's yoga retreat), Try Acupuncture, get your nails done, try a Med spa and get a facial or enhancements, buy a big fluffy white robe (like the one you only get a fancy hotels), take a nap, - you deserve this all. Book something 1x a week for your self care journey. In order to be your BEST SELF you have to think it and feel it!!!
Qtr 3: July, Aug, Sept: | Manifesting Career + Financial Goals | Oh this is always a fun one to dive into. Financial stresses can cause a lot of emotional dampers on folk's lives and relationships. So start small especially if you have a BIG GOAL you are wanting to accomplish with your money or debt.
Instead of buying things you want shift to only buying things you really need. My dear friend, Mindy, has been my accountability partner on buying vs. needing. Lets say my "fast fashion" shopping is a source of therapy for me, and it got slightly out of control the past few years. Moving has motivating me in many ways, the CLOSET was one of them. De clutter your closet and that crazy ass junk drawer, create a budget for you house hold (there are tons of apps out there to help you create the budget).
Maybe that GREAT IDEA you had you wanted to start (your new business) Manifest it! Do it! Surround yourself with friends & people who put you on FIRE Take the Leap! Imagine and visualize this dream drop of vision a reality. And if you have mixed signals about something, freaking SAY NO!
Don't worry, if you need more support in manifesting your business, Im releasing a podcast on Green Juice & Tequila with a few of my boss babe girlfriends to help you with these steps. "Brainstorming Babes" is coming soon!!
QTR 4 : Oct, Nov, Dec : | Emotional Stress Goals | Holidays bring out the high vibrations & the craziness. It’s the season of giving (which hopefully in Qtr 3 you saved a penny or two) & sometimes stress comes into our lives because we are trying to please & impress. Emotional stress is T O X I C, yall! If you have toxic people, or energy suckers, a.k.a "light suckers" (read Deepok Chopra "Shadow Effect"), get rid of it! Create boundaries. Start managing how you look and handle stress.
Journal about it!!!! Gratitude Journaling will absolutely shift your perspective. List 5 things you are grateful for and 5 things that make you happy. Do it every day during this quarter. Yall, imagine and visualize your goal in regards to impacting your life, what does that look like? Imagine traveling this year, imagine peaceful mornings drinking your tea and meditating, or preparing a nutritious meal with beautiful green salads and green juice, or working less and spending more time on self care...like yoga in the afternoons, lunch dates with friends, being home and feel at peace in the evenings with your family.
Create an ACTION PLAN ::: Break your goals into Quarter goals, Set Deadlines, and absolutely plan for some set backs.
